After spending their honeymoon in Nicaragua, Lars and his wife Candice realized it was their ultimate destination. As competitive swimmers and water enthusiasts, Lars and Candice were drawn to the natural beauty of Nicaragua's Pacific coast and lakes, and to the friendly demeanor of Nicaragua's citizens. Hilton Hotel Opens In Managua

Hilton Hotels recently opened in Managua, providing another option to international vacationers and business travelers visiting Nicaragua. Located in the Metrocentro area, the Hilton Princess hotel is very close to Managua's finest dining and night life. Most airlines that fly to Managua are offering double frequent flyer miles for stays at the Hilton during a promotional period. San Juan del Sur Receives Port Improvements

Improvements to San Juan del Sur's port are well underway. With approximately US $12M donated by the Japanese government, the new port will include modern facilities to support the local fishing industry and international cruise lines that stop in San Juan del Sur, and ample dry dock facilities for boat haul-out and repairs. San Juan del Sur continues to be the center for sport fishing and surf tour boat operators. Make a reservation to go fishing or surfing during your trip to Nicaragua.

Fusion Cuisine Arrives in San Juan del Sur

El Jardin

On May 12, the Garden Hotel & Restaurant "El Jardin" opened its doors and shared samples of what delicious things are to come. The grand opening attracted a mixed crowd of visitors, including both ex-pats living in San Juan del Sur and locals looking to experience some new cuisine. Owner/operator April Whann moved to San Juan del Sur with her family from Los Cabos, Mexico. April's fusion of Mexican, Thai, and Japanese cuisine has been keeping the restaurant busy since its grand opening. Menu items include fresh Thai chicken spring rolls, tortilla soup, shredded beef sopas, and a mix of Asian salads. Make sure to book a reservation during your trip to Nicaragua!
